The
English Garden breaks the mold of conventional flower arranging and
gives real meaning to the concept of floral art. Our fresh floral
designs are bold, colorful, and distinctive, and blend a wide range
of elements including unusual flowers from all over the world, seeds,
seasonal fruits, and vegetables. From natural country bouquets, to
brightening the workplace, to elegant weddings and party arrangements.
The English Gardens unique style will always delight and surprise.
The English Garden is the brainchild and passion of Susan Winston,
a British national who has been living in Southern California since
1977.
Originally from the Wirral, just a ferry ride across the river Mersey
from Liverpool, Susans artistic inclinations were inherited
from her parents, who were both active in the musical-social scene
of 1960s Liverpool. Her parents were friends with Beatles' manager
Brian Epstein, and her aunt and uncle rented a house to the four young
Beatles.
Even as a child, Susan loved flowers and surrounding herself with
fresh flowers was always an essential part of her life.
She began The English Garden in 1996, and moved to her present site
in Westlake Village, California, in 1998.
To Susan, floral designs are an artistic expression. With her exquisite
taste, and a keen eye for detail, she draws her inspiration from nature.
Susans unique creations go beyond floral design as she uses
any plant or object that might typically be found in an English Garden
they are personal,
imaginative and invite you into a world of beauty.
